About

I'm a senior product designer who cares about structure because I care about meaning. I've never found the two to be in conflict. The work I'm drawn to lives where things are still unformed, where something is clearly happening but nobody has named it yet.

I've spent more than twenty years moving between physical products, graphic design, enterprise software, and digital product work. That range shaped how I work. I care about structure, but I also care about texture, rhythm, and the emotional temperature of a thing.

Most recently I led UX for the AXIOM Design System at Edward Jones and designed the product experience for Acrylic, an AI-powered music licensing platform. I hold a CPACC accessibility certification, because access is not something I bolt on at the end.

Experience

My background runs from footwear and physical products to brand systems, enterprise platforms, and design-driven product work. The range is the point. It taught me to move between the big strategic call and the pixel, and to be at home in both.

I've worked inside highly regulated finance, inside early-stage startups still figuring out what they are, and on design systems that had to hold together across many teams without falling apart.

How I work

I do my best work where things are unsettled: scattered decisions, unclear ownership, a product that hasn't found its center yet. Not because I love ambiguity. I don't.

But I've learned that staying in the mess long enough to truly understand it is the only way to build something honest on the other side. So I work it down in stages, from a tangle into a structure, from a structure into an interface, into something people can understand, build, and maintain without a manual.

The throughline

Across all of it, the constant isn't a medium or a method. It's a way of seeing. I bring design, systems thinking, and visual work to a problem, but what I'm really bringing is the instinct to find the shape of something difficult and give it a form other people can use.
